Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Girard's 12th in Last 14 Outings

They beat the Chippewa Chipps on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 20-25, 25-19.

Bailey Walters paced Girard's offense, picking up 33 kills. Walters got some help from Chloe Plant and her 48 assists. Walters was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Girard has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Chippewa, they moved to 12-13 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

After both having extra time off, Girard and Elyria Catholic will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elyria Catholic will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Girard surely won't give up without a fight. Chippewa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
