Basketball Recap: Whiteoak Comes Up Short

Whiteoak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 68-45 to the Eastern Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while the Warriors are ranked 288th).

Whiteoak's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Eastern, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Whiteoak Wildcats challenge the Fairfield Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastern, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Peebles at 7:30 p.m. Eastern knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Peebles likes a good challenge.
