Baseball Recap: Halifax County Takes a Loss

Halifax County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Magna Vista Warriors. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Halifax County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailee Henderson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Henderson also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Halifax County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Magna Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Halifax County will head out to face off against Ballard at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Magna Vista has already played their next game (against the Comets), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
