Football Recap: Davenport West Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Davenport West's offense. They had to suffer through a 63-0 loss at the hands of the Western Dubuque Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Bobcats are ranked 30th).

Davenport West's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Western Dubuque, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Davenport West will take on rival Davenport North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Western Dubuque is set to challenge their familiar foe Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
