Soccer Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Tipton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tipton). They never let the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Monday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Tipton's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Alexandria-Monroe are ranked 290th).

Tipton's offense was hitting Alexandria-Monroe from everywhere, as ten different players booted in a goal. Walker Smith led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The win keeps Tipton at an undefeated 5-0-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three contests. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Tipton has already played their next match, a 5-3 win against Hamilton Heights on the 9th. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mississinewa at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
