Severn School waltzed into their contest on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 13-8 win over the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Admirals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Colby Benz looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Fletcher Warner, who scored three runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-4. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lawrence Jacobs, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Severn School's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Our Lady of Mount Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Coming up, Severn School will head out on the road to square off against Annapolis Area Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Our Lady of Mount Carmel, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Perry Hall Christian at 4:00 p.m. on April 11.
