Baseball Game Preview: Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks vs. Hampton Roads Academy Navigators

The Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks will square off against the Hampton Roads Academy Navigators at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Atlantic Shores Christian's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Hampton Roads Academy has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Atlantic Shores Christian hadn't beaten Cape Henry Collegiate on the road since March 26, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. Atlantic Shores Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Cape Henry Collegiate.

Meanwhile, Hampton Roads Academy came up short against Fredericksburg Christian on Monday and fell 15-11.

Drew Lee made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Hutchens, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Atlantic Shores Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0. As for Hampton Roads Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Atlantic Shores Christian's way against Hampton Roads Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Atlantic Shores Christian made off with a 15-2 win.
