Goddard lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Andover, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Lions were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Trojans on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Taylor Cape was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Kohlhorst, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Goddard's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Andover, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goddard will head out to face off against Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Andover, they will venture away from home to challenge Salina Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
