            Football Recap: Olathe Pirates vs. North Fork Miners        
        
		
        
        
            Olathe lost against North Fork back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Pirates were dealt  a  42-6 loss at the hands of the Miners. The  game marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Despite the  defeat, Olathe saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Hunter Lynch rushed for 109 yards and one  TD. Lynch didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made five total tackles.
 North Fork was led to victory by  Alex Csere and  Braeden Flores.  Csere rushed for 97 yards and one  touchdown, while  Flores rushed for 42 yards and a pair of  scores. Csere really tore up the turf  during one magnificent 89-yard run.
This is the second loss in a row for Olathe and  nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for North Fork, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record  this season.
 Olathe has already played their next matchup,  a  34-0  win against Grand Valley on the 10th. As for North Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  21-14  victory against Cedaredge on the 10th.
