After a string of 14 wins, Ezekiel Academy's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They fell  58-48 to the East Central HomeSchool Patriots. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won  54-47.
Despite the loss, Ezekiel Academy still got an impressive performance from   Kelson Free, who  went 5 for 11  en route to 15  points and three  steals. The  match was  Free's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Camden Rushing, who  posted ten points.
 Even though they lost, Ezekiel Academy  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with ten  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive boards in five consecutive  contests.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Central HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Josiah Dumas, who  went 7 of 9  on his way to 15  points and eight  boards. Dumas has been hot recently, having  posted 15 or more points the last three times he's  played.  Asher King was another key player,  going 6 for 12  en route to 12  points.
Ezekiel Academy's  loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 22-4. As for East Central HomeSchool,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 8-6.
 Ezekiel Academy will venture away from home to  face off against Evangel Christian  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for East Central HomeSchool, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  69-57  win against Wiregrass on the 25th.
