Volleyball Game Preview: Miramonte Matadors vs. Moreau Catholic Mariners

The Miramonte Matadors will face off against the Moreau Catholic Mariners at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Miramonte heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Heritage. The Matadors' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Moreau Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat San Marin on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

Moreau Catholic took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-16, 20-25, 25-18, 15-9.

Moreau Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 17-19. As for Miramonte, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-7.

Miramonte skirted past Moreau Catholic 2-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Matadors repeat their success, or do the Mariners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
