Basketball Recap: Ponitz Career Tech Comes Up Short

Ponitz Career Tech lost against Trotwood-Madison back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ponitz Career Tech Golden Panthers had to suffer through a 81-25 loss at the hands of the Trotwood-Madison Rams. While losing is never fun, the Golden Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 739th, while the Rams are ranked 49th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trotwood-Madison to victory, but perhaps none more so than Baron White, who went 5 of 9 en route to 17 points and three steals. White is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermiel Atkins, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

Ponitz Career Tech's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Trotwood-Madison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Ponitz Career Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-49 defeat against Carroll on the 27th. As for Trotwood-Madison, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 76-59 victory against Dunbar on the 27th.
