Basketball Recap: Miami Valley Takes a Loss

Miami Valley was the 53-49 winner over Calvary Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Miami Valley Rams took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calvary Christian Spartans on Saturday.

Calvary Christian was led to victory by Daniel Young and Philip Davie. Young went 7 for 9 on his way to 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Davie almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Zeeke Wylie, who posted nine points.

Miami Valley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Calvary Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miami Valley will head out to take on Shroder Paideia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Calvary Christian, they will take on Shekinah Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
