Sharyland came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Mission Eagles. This was payback for the Rattlers, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Sharyland's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Mission, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Sharyland and Mission will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rattlers will challenge rival McAllen Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mission is set to square off against their familiar foe Nixon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
