Softball Recap: Toms River East Takes a Loss

Toms River East was the 8-6 winner over Point Pleasant Boro when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Toms River East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Point Pleasant Boro, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Toms River East wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-5 loss against Raritan on the 2nd. As for Point Pleasant Boro, they will challenge Freehold Boro at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Colonials at the right time seeing as the Colonials are stuck on an 18-game losing streak.
