Basketball Recap: Cape May County Tech Comes Up Short

Cape May County Tech fought the good fight in their overtime game against The Pilgrim Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of The Pilgrim Academy Pioneers by a score of 60-57. The Hawks' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it 20 in a row.

It was another big night for Mason Parmer, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards for The Pilgrim Academy. Parmer has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared McGonagle, who posted 13 points and five boards.

Cape May County Tech's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for The Pilgrim Academy, their record now sits at 9-13.

Cape May County Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for The Pilgrim Academy, they will challenge Calvary Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pilgrim Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season.
