Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Saints vs. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls

Having just played yesterday, the Jefferson Saints will get right back to it and host the Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Jefferson is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Kennedy on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Saints were dealt a 93-19 loss at the hands of the Commanders. The Saints were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 61-12.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain Prep SMART ended up a good deal behind Aurora West College Prep Academy on Tuesday and lost 52-38.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Jefferson came up short against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 55-50. Thankfully for the Saints, Emmanuel Rodriguez-Gonzalez (who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
