With a playoff win on the line, Lakeshore rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Franklinton Demons 14-1. Lakeshore might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Lakeshore, bringing their record up to 17-13. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Franklinton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season.

Lakeshore will have a chance to go back-to-back against Franklinton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
