Soccer Game Preview: Mariemont vs. DePaul Cristo Rey

The Mariemont Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against DePaul Cristo Rey at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mariemont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

Mariemont's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past Madeira 1-0. Aidan Gross had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Mariemont.

Meanwhile, DePaul Cristo Rey didn't have quite enough to beat Aiken on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

Mariemont pushed their record up to 14-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three matchups. As for DePaul Cristo Rey, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5-1 record this season.
