Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vale). They blew past the McLoughlin Pioneers 21-4 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Vale is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for McLoughlin, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4.

Vale will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pioneers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
