Football Recap: Albuquerque Academy Chargers vs. Valencia Jaguars

Albuquerque Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Valencia Jaguars, falling 42-13. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.

Although Albuquerque Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Gage Conway and Ryan Williams.

Albuquerque Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Beckett Carroll. Zachary Waghorn was another major factor on D, making 17 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Leading Valencia to victory were Aidan Harrington and Michael Storms III. Harrington rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Storms III rushed for 222 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Harrington has posted since back in August of 2023.

Albuquerque Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Valencia, their record is now 7-3.
