Preview: Brookfield East Spartans vs. Hamilton Chargers
Brookfield East and Hamilton are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Brookfield East Spartans are on the road again on Friday and play against the Hamilton Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Brookfield East scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Brookfield Central, posting a 72-33 win on the road. The result was nothing new for Brookfield East, who have now won three contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, even though Brookfield Central scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, Hamilton still came out on top. The stars were shining brightly for Hamilton in a 78-63 win over Brookfield Central. The score was all tied up 35-35 at the break, but Hamilton was the better team in the second half.
Brookfield East's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Brookfield East against Hamilton in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 61-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookfield East since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
