Basketball Recap: Lake George Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hartford Central

Lake George has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hartford Central Tanagers. One positive for the Lakers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Several Lakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mykah Collier-Fisher, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards. Collier-Fisher is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Morgan Stanco, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Lake George smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Hartford Central found their leader in sophomore Audrey Fiske, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fiske has scored all season. Silver Stewart was another key player, putting up eight points.

Lake George's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Hartford Central, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Lake George will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Ann at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hartford Central, they will venture away from home to square off against North Warren Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hartford Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season.
