Basketball Recap: New Site Skates Past Amory with Ease

New Site waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Amory Panthers, posting a 53-24 win. The Royals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 29 points or more this season.

New Site found their leader in freshman Claudi Ann Brown, who posted 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Johna Lindley, who put up 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

New Site's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Amory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5-2.

Coming up, New Site will challenge Kossuth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amory, they will face off against Nettleton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.22 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
