The home team had won the previous five meetings between Ashe County and Freedom, and Ashe County kept the tradition alive. Ashe County blew past Freedom 12-1 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won three matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ashe County got a massive performance out of Hannah Osborne, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Ally Greer was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Ashe County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Freedom only posted an OBP of .227.

Ashe County's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3. As for Freedom, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
