Softball Recap: Curry Beats Alexandria for Their Third Straight Win

It's playoff time, and Curry had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the Alexandria Valley Cubs 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Yellowjackets: when they faced off against the Valley Cubs on Wednesday, they had to take a 7-3 loss.

Brooklyn Morton tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 30 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ansley Brown was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

The victory was the third in a row for Curry, bringing their record up to 53-4. As for Alexandria, their defeat dropped their record down to 44-12-3.

Curry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-2 win against Satsuma on the 15th. As for Alexandria, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Albertville on July 1, 2026.
