Boyd-Buchanan is 8-2 against Notre Dame since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Buccaneers will be playing at home against the Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Boyd-Buchanan's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over St. Andrews-Sewanee. The win continues a trend for Boyd-Buchanan in their matchups with St. Andrews-Sewanee: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame hasn't lost a match since April 4th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. Everything went their way against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Notre Dame's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences are ranked 218th).

Boyd-Buchanan pushed their record up to 6-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three games. As for Notre Dame, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season.

Boyd-Buchanan beat Notre Dame by a goal when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 1-0. Do the Buccaneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fighting Irish turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
