Jackson Curry made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Curry was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, Parker Keller was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Peyton Keller was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Ripley pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lincoln County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Ripley struggles in that department as they've averaged .315. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
