Football Game Preview: McKeel Academy Wildcats vs. Ridge Community Bolts

The McKeel Academy Wildcats will head out to square off against the Ridge Community Bolts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, McKeel Academy and Ridgeview Global Studies Academy were almost perfectly matched up, but McKeel Academy suffered a 7-6 loss. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Ridge Community over Winter Haven in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Ridge Community blew Winter Haven out of the water with a 28-0 final score. The Bolts pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Devils had little chance of recovering from.

A big part of Ridge Community's victory came down to the chemistry between Gabriela Gomez and her top target Abegael Benoit. Gomez threw for 88 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of her passes while Benoit gained 113 total yards and three touchdowns.

McKeel Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ridge Community, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
