Basketball Recap: Aletheia Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Aletheia Christian Academy challenged West Florida on Monday. The Lions received a blow as they fell 63-48 to the Jaguars. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Aletheia Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kendrick Williamson went 9-for-20 en route to 29 points and six boards. Thomas Dickson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Frank Likely was nothing short of spectacular for West Florida: he shot 57% from the field to rack up 19 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Zay Young, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 15 points and four steals.

Aletheia Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for West Florida, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Aletheia Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-45 defeat against Escambia on the 25th. As for West Florida, they have also already played their next matchup, a 54-44 victory against St. Michael Catholic on the 25th.
