Baseball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central lost against Catholic on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Central lost 8-1 to Catholic. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Central and Catholic should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Central will challenge Liberty Magnet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 167 places (27 vs. 194). Meanwhile, Catholic (ranked third) will meet St. Martin's Episcopal (ranked 132nd) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
