Softball Game Preview: Mammoth Huskies vs. Boron Bobcats

Mammoth hasn't had much luck against Boron recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Huskies will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 3:15 p.m. Mammoth has given up an average of 21.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Immanuel Christian hit Mammoth with a six-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies lost 17-6 to the Crusaders.

Meanwhile, Boron entered their tilt with Kern Valley on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Broncs. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by just one run.

Mammoth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Boron, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
