Basketball Recap: Malcolm Beats Northwest for Their Third Straight Win

Malcolm waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They secured a 42-38 W over the Northwest Vikings. For the Clippers, this counts as revenge for the 49-48 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Malcolm got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carson Frank out in front who posted 22 points. The game was Frank's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Preston Kucera, who earned 12 points.

Malcolm has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Malcolm will welcome Louisville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northwest, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Broken Bow at 7:15 p.m.
