Football Recap: Oasis Christian Piles Up the Points Against Legacy Charter

There's no place like home for Oasis Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 win over the Legacy Charter Eagles. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Leading Oasis Christian to victory were Jordan Almonte and Nate Gross. Almonte rushed for 152 yards and four scores on only nine carries, while Gross rushed for 142 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries. The dominant performance also gave Gross a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Oasis Christian's run defense was locked in: Legacy Charter could only muster 2.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Steven Chase for the heroic effort on defense: he. Oasis Christian didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.2.

Oasis Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Legacy Charter, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oasis Christian will venture away from home to face off against All Saints' Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Saints have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Legacy Charter, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on City of Life Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
