Volleyball Recap: Enochs Comes Up Short

Enochs lost against Escalon back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Enochs was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Escalon's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-21.

Reese Johnson paced Enochs' offense, picking up nine kills. Johnson got some help from Lauren Ramos and her 12 assists. Lileahna Leiva controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Enochs' loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Escalon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Enochs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Gregori on the 18th. As for Escalon, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Ripon Christian on the 23rd.
