After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Garrett, Fremont was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Lakeland Lakers by a score of 7-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mallorie Huffnagle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Chloe Verdin and Myleigh Carper did most of the damage at the plate: Verdin went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run, while Carper went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs Carper has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Stevens, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
