Volleyball Recap: Makenna Anderson Key Part of Team Effort in Whippets Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holdrege, Minden was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Gothenburg Swedes by a score of 3-1. The Whippets haven't had any issues with the Swedes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Minden's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makenna Anderson, who had 14 digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Anderson a new career-high. Victoria Hansen was another key player, getting four digs and two aces.

Gothenburg's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ellaray Koch, who had seven digs and two aces, and Grace Evert, who had 11 kills and one block. Evert is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Minden's victory bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Gothenburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-11.

As of now, neither Minden nor the Swedes have any future games scheduled.
