Burns hadn't done well against Stuart W. Cramer recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Storm. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Burns had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 28-26, 25-20, 25-19.

Karlye Clay paced Burns' offense, picking up 13 kills. Clay got some help from Alexis Martin and her 21 assists. Clay was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Kyla Faggart and Kyleigh Hawkins certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Faggart had 11 digs, while Hawkins had 11 kills, 11 digs, and four aces.

Burns has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Stuart W. Cramer, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Burns has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Chase on the 20th. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against A.L. Brown on the 21st.
