Softball Game Preview: Nandua Warriors vs. Lancaster Red Devils

The Nandua Warriors will face off against the Lancaster Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Nandua's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Washington 21-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the game before.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lancaster). They put the hurt on Northampton with a sharp 26-3 victory on Monday. The Red Devils have beaten the Yellowjackets the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Yellowjackets has come to flipping the script.

Lancaster got a massive performance out of Braelyn Johnson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. That home run was Johnson's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Bishoff, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI.

Lancaster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northampton only posted an OBP of .421.

Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Nandua, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
