Belle Chasse has gone a perfect 6-0 against South Plaquemines recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cardinals will challenge the Hurricanes at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Belle Chasse barely beat A.J. Ellender the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals' pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots a 15-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Cardinals have won seven matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South Plaquemines, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past Metairie Park Country Day 18-16.

South Plaquemines got a massive performance out of Mahki'Yah Brown, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Shylen Prout, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.

South Plaquemines was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in four consecutive contests.

The victory made it two in a row for Belle Chasse and bumps their season record up to 12-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for South Plaquemines, they pushed their record up to 5-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Everything went Belle Chasse's way against South Plaquemines in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Belle Chasse made off with an 18-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
