Chapmanville Regional is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: Huntington Expression Prep, who was ranked 11th at the time (Chapmanville Regional was ranked 19th). Chapmanville Regional strolled past Huntington Expression Prep with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 67-50.

Meanwhile, Wheeling Central Catholic came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Blue Devils, posting a 96-36 win. The Maroon Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 30 points or more this season.

Chapmanville Regional's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points over those games. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 18-2.
