After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whitwell, Sequatchie County was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Brainerd Panthers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ainsley Pickett was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Haley Frizzell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Sequatchie County's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Brainerd, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Coming up, Sequatchie County is taking a road trip to square off against Monterey at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brainerd, they will head out to face off against Howard Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
