Basketball Recap: Lone Grove Takes a Loss

Lone Grove lost against Pauls Valley back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lone Grove Longhorns took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pauls Valley Panthers. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lone Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pauls Valley, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Lone Grove will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kingston at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Kingston knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Lone Grove likes a good challenge. As for Pauls Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-45 defeat against Plainview on the 20th.
