Basketball Game Preview: Horace vs. Red River Roughriders

Horace will take on the Red River Roughriders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Horace knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 matches -- so hopefully Red River likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Horace didn't have too much trouble with Grand Forks Central as they won 83-69.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Red River). They breezed past Shanley to the tune of 98-54 on Tuesday. Given the Roughriders' advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Deacons are ranked 97th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Red River has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.0 points over those games. Horace's win bumped their record up to 15-4.
