Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Fort Bend Austin's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

If Ridge Point wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Fort Bend Austin, they should've done a better job of containing Andrea Sturdivant. The Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs took down the Ridge Point Panthers 60-46 on Tuesday thanks in part to Sturdivant, who went 8 of 18 on her way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Fort Bend Austin's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Aminah Dixon, who posted 11 points and six steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Fort Bend Austin is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 22-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Ridge Point, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-18.

As of now, neither Fort Bend Austin nor Ridge Point have any future games scheduled.
