Cane Bay won the last time they faced Goose Creek and things went their way on Wednesday too. Cane Bay walked away with a 6-1 victory over Goose Creek. While the Cobras didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Cane Bay got a great performance from Isaac Brace as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Brace has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Cane Bay let Ethan Dodson and Chandler Berry run wild. Dodson scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Berry scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Dodson also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Bennett, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Cane Bay has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Goose Creek now has a losing record of 3-4-2.

Cane Bay will have a chance to go back-to-back against Goose Creek: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
