Basketball Game Preview: Central Christian Crusaders vs. Skipstone Academy Warriors

The Central Christian Crusaders will challenge the Skipstone Academy Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Christian is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Back in December of 2024, Central Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-46 to Trinity Christian School of Griffin.

Despite the defeat, Central Christian had strong showings from Carter Patterson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds, and Jonathan Cook, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds. Those 11 points gave Patterson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lukas Crane, who posted nine points.

Even though they lost, Central Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Skipstone Academy). They walked away with a 68-59 win over CrossPointe Christian Academy on Tuesday.

Central Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Skipstone Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
