Volleyball Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Jasper County Hurricanes. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Jasper County, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Newton will host Shiloh at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jasper County, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Redan on the 21st.
