Basketball Recap: Tabernacle Christian Takes a Loss

Tabernacle Christian extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They were dealt an 82-35 loss at the hands of the Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans. The Conquerors lost against the Titans in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 55-31 score last time.

As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1. That looming 82-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Leading Triad Baptist Christian Academy to victory were Jayden Pringle and Josh Manley. Pringle went 11-for-17 en route to 23 points, while Manley shot 67% from the field on his way to 16 points and four steals. Manley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cole Thacker, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 10 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tabernacle Christian will host Gospel Light Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, they will welcome Alamance Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
