Volleyball Recap: St. Anne Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when St. Anne challenged Gardner-South Wilmington on Tuesday. The Cardinals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-11.

Tessa DeYoung paced St. Anne's offense, picking up five kills. DeYoung got some help from Tatum Kirkland and her seven assists. Finally, Demi Duncan kept St. Anne's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

St. Anne dropped their record down to 9-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

St. Anne will venture away from home to face off against Donovan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, they will welcome Dwight at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
